Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 July 2026
This policy explains what data Fiscalgrove collects when you use our calculators, why, and what rights you have over it. It's written to meet the requirements of the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and US state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
What we collect
- Calculator inputs — the numbers you type into a calculator (loan amount, income, and so on) are processed entirely in your browser to produce a result. We do not send these inputs to our servers or store them.
- Essential cookies — small pieces of data needed to run the site (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice). These are set regardless of consent, as permitted under UK/EU cookie law for strictly necessary purposes.
- Optional analytics/advertising cookies — only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, or don't respond, these remain off. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
- Contact form submissions — if you contact us, we keep your message and reply-to address only for as long as needed to respond and resolve your query.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights under GDPR to access, correct, delete, or export data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If you're a California resident, the CCPA gives you similar rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Fiscalgrove does not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our Contact page.
Advertising, and what third parties may collect
Where enabled, Fiscalgrove displays advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense, and may use other third-party ad networks.
Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, and may use web beacons and your IP address, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site. That information may be used to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Third parties may also use other identifiers and similar technologies for the same purposes.
Google's own use of the data it collects through advertising on this site is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
On this site, advertising and analytics cookies are only set if you accept optional cookies on our banner. If you decline or do not respond, they remain off. Essential cookies are set regardless, as permitted for strictly necessary purposes.
You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising in several ways. Google's own controls are at My Ad Center and Ads Settings. Industry opt-outs are available at aboutads.info for the US and youronlinechoices.com for the UK and EU. You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can change your choice on this site at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
Fiscalgrove is a personal-finance site, so one point is worth stating plainly: we do not provide advertising partners with any information you enter into a calculator, and we do not build or share audience data based on your financial circumstances. Calculator inputs stay in your browser and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Data retention & security
We keep contact-form data only as long as needed to resolve your query, and delete it thereafter. We use industry-standard technical measures (encrypted connections, access controls) to protect any data we do hold.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes, and post material changes prominently on the site.
