Reserve Bank rules and lender policy change

Loan-to-value (LVR) and debt-to-income (DTI) limits are set by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and are reviewed from time to time; banks also apply their own servicing test rates and lending criteria on top of them. The settings used in these calculators reflect the published rules as at the verification date shown on each calculator, and may have changed since. Always confirm current figures with your bank, your adviser, or the RBNZ.

KiwiSaver and tax matters
